Snowman with Green Hat by Rochard Limoges Box
A snowman in a green hat, made by Parry Vieille for Rochard, a charming winter holiday piece.
Each Limoges piece is shaped from fine white porcelain, fired at high temperature and then painted entirely by hand by artisans in the Limoges region of France, so no two are ever exactly alike. Like the finest Limoges boxes, it opens on a hinged lid with a hand-set metal clasp. Parry Vieille (PV) is a respected Limoges porcelain house known for its fine hand-painting, and Rochard is one of the best-known names in Limoges boxes.
