Each Limoges piece is shaped from fine white porcelain, fired at high temperature and then painted entirely by hand by artisans in the Limoges region of France, so no two are ever exactly alike. Like the finest Limoges boxes, it opens on a hinged lid with a hand-set metal clasp. Diez (DZ) is a Limoges studio known for charming figural boxes with lively hand-painted color.
