Growing up outside of Paris, Josephine Madeleine de Richelieu was bequeathed a passion for history and palaces by her great grandmother - the illustrious Countess d' Aubervilliers. Young Josephine's pastimes included visits to Versailles and Loire Castles where she took in breath-taking paintings, luxurious interiors and decadent ornamental decor set within beautifully manicured gardens. It is there that she developed an appreciation for classic grace manifested through style and beauty.

My beloved great grandmother was an exemplary figure; she lived each day to its fullest potential with her classic French style matched only by her artistic mind. On one memorable excursion we took together to Limoges city, our conversation revolved around the extraordinary Marquise de Pompadour from Louis XV's court: a true patroness both of arts and antiques who left behind quite an impression during that time period!
