The painting on this recreated 18^th century octagonal box is exquisite  

Colors of pink, brown, yellow, green, and red are beautifully melded together  

On top the artist painted a vase with roses, a book with ruffled pages, and a bonnet with a yellow ribbon  

The top of the inside is another painting of a table with an empty vase, roses laying on the table and a closed book  

The bottom of the inside is a single rose 

Measure 3" x 2 1/4" x 1 3/4"
