Limoges, France is one of the oldest cities in France.  It is located in Central France, more or less about 250 miles southwest of Paris, in the region called "Limousin". It is a small central old town full of History, and also an industrial city. Best way to reach Limoges, France is via train from Paris, France. There are various sites to visit while visiting limoges. The most impressive is that of Gothic Cathedral, Saint Etienne, which was built on a location since the 3rd Century for a series of Churches. Directly behind the Cathedral you can visit the lovely Municipal Museum, here you can view displays of Limoges enamels from the Middle Ages on, and view some of PIERRE AUGUSTE RENOIR'S work. The greatest treasure to see in Limoges, France is the Adrien Dubouche Museum, inside a building that was built in the 1800's. The museum contains the largest collection of Limoges, Porcelain in the world, it consist of about 11,000 items.
The town hall and ites tiered fountain which were built in 1883 is a lovely site to see!! Then there is the center of town were you will find and be able to purchase limoges boxes, street called Boulevard Louis Blanc. Here you can also visit Havilands Pavilion de la Porcelain.

Traveling further into the towns you will view lovely fountains, Botanical Gardens, and a lovely Medieval Bridge , which cuts through the town "Vienne River". There are many antique shops located throughout the city, restaurants and stores. There is an open air antiques market, which happens weekly on Rue Brousseau. Any where you turn , you will find a large assortment of architectural features that are just worth the trip
